Requirements
Why upgrade
A two-piece rotor splits the braking ring from the hat. The hat is heat-treated T6-7075 aluminium, so you carry less weight than a one-piece rotor of the same size. The ring is free to expand and contract as it heats and cools, and it sheds heat quickly.
The hats are fixed with Conelock nuts and shoulder bolts. When the rings wear, keep the hats and fit replacement rotor rings in the 354mm 370Z size.

Ready to fit
Two-piece rotors arrive with the hat and ring already bolted together, runout tested and balanced as an assembly. Always check the hat bolts are at 13–15 ft-lb before fitting, as you would with any two-piece rotor. Otherwise, it’s a direct bolt-on.
Fitting
Clean any rust and dirt off the hub face so the rotor sits flat, and clean the new rotors before fitting. Check the hat bolts, then fit the rotors.
We recommend installation by a licensed mechanic.

In an attempt to create a lightweight rotor and considering the outer ring is the heaviest component, we’ve enlarged the aluminium centre hat as much as possible so that we could reduce the rotor surface. This means that the centre hat sits quite close to the caliper and during heavy track work has the potential to expand and skim the caliper. We recommend linishing a very small portion of the caliper to accommodate for this. (photo example shown above)
