Requirements
What it’s for
Heat and hydraulic pressure wear out the seals and internals of any master cylinder over time. It shows up as a spongy pedal or a fluid leak. This kit replaces the internal wear parts in your BM57, so you can restore it instead of buying a new master cylinder.
Will it fit?
The kit is sized for the 17/16″ (27mm) bore of the HFM.Parts BM57, in both RHD and LHD versions.
It covers the pistons, cups, lock ring, reservoir and grommets. The proportioning valve and the o-rings and seals that go with it are not included.

Fitting
Hone the bore before fitting the new pistons, even if it looks smooth. A bore can be worn or out of round without showing it, and the new cups need a true bore to seal.
If your master cylinder uses a piston retaining lock screw, shorten it or swap it for a shorter screw. Our pistons don’t need it, but the hole still needs to be sealed.
Once it’s back in the car, bleed the brakes and check for leaks before driving. Our BM57 install guide covers removing and refitting the master cylinder.
