Requirements
Why upgrade
A long, soft brake pedal costs you confidence and stopping distance. The BM57 steps up to a 17/16″ (27mm) bore, so it moves more fluid with less pedal travel. The result is a firmer pedal and a more direct feel under your foot.

Will it fit my car?
This is the left-hand drive version. It suits LHD Nissan 240SX (S13, S14) and 300ZX Z32 running 4-piston calipers, with or without ABS. For right-hand drive cars, grab the BM57 RHD brake master cylinder.
ABS cars need one port blocked. Fit the supplied tapered grub screw into either the middle port or the rear port closest to the booster. The two ports are the same, just split in two.
The ports are side mounted. Most top-feed and bottom-feed brake lines can be carefully reshaped to reach them.

Fitting
Bench bleed the master cylinder before it goes in the car, then bleed the whole system. Check brake booster push rod clearance before you bolt it up. A push rod adjusting tool makes this easier.
The fluid level sensor connector swaps to either side. It’s easiest to do before installation.
Once fitted, check the brake lines, proportioning bias screw and reservoir grommets for leaks.
